Brain Gym 101 Agenda

Day 1

  • 8-10:30am: Course overview

      History, background of Brain Gym®  principles

      and noticing in Brain Gym®.

      Stress based vs. movement based learning.

  • 10:45-noon: PACE and the balance process, setting goals explained and demonstrated.

  • 1-2:30pm: Pre and post activities, in-depth checks and 8 movements of the learning menu demonstrated and practiced for positive attitude balance

  • 2:45-5:30pm: Lab session of applied balances, practice; case studies, discussion.

Day 2

  • 8-10:30am: Action balances for seeing, listening, writing demonstrated and practiced.

  • 10:45-noon: Action balances continue for accessing the midfield and sensory motor integration.

  • 1-2:30pm: 8 more movements from the learning menu explained, demonstrated and practiced.

  • 2:45-5:30pm: Discussion of experiences in class along with case studies of examples of application in support of learning.

Day 3

  • 8-10:30am: Three midline dimensions and how the learning menu addresses each one. 8 more learning menu movements demonstrated and practiced.

  • 10:45-noon: Noticing, accessing, and quick check options for noting progress or change.

  • 1-2:30pm: 8 more movements from the learning menu demonstrated and practiced. Balances for each midline dimension (focus, centering, and laterality reflecting stages of child development).

  • 2:45-5:30pm: FAST action balance,
    x-Pand balance, role play of the interactive dynamic brain, and repatterning.
