Janice Fiore has been teaching Brain Gym® classes for over 20 years. This 16 hr experiential course is a unique program of physical activities that synchronizes body and mind to enhance learning and achievement for people of all ages and abilities. The foundational activities and methods of Brain Gym® are safe, easy and enjoyable, and they bring about rapid and often dramatic improvements in academics and daily life skills.
Building on the Brain Gym® 101 course, Optimal Brain Organization provides activities, balances and noticing techniques to support observation of our own state of brain organization.
Working easily in the midfield in a whole-brain state, integrating senses for improved coordination and ease of learning, balancing for greater dexterity with fine-motor tasks as well as accessing our own personal gifts for optimal performance will be explored. Brain Gym activities will be reviewed while expanding our understanding of the dynamic brain. The classroom learning environment will be looked at.
In this course, you will have the opportunity to:
- Explore your Brain Gym learning style
- Understand the effect of stress in building compensations and impeding performance
- Experience new five-step processes to balance right and left brain learning styles for optimal learning
- Discover latent gifts
- Develop a deeper understanding of Brain Gym's three dimensions
- Enjoy additional movements to the Brain Gym 26
Participating in an OBO class provides the hands-on fun of learning more about your individual uniqueness and the way you function in your world. You will leave with practical applications for yourself and your work.
Optimal Brain Orgainization is a 16-hour course required for Brain Gym licensure. Brain Gym 101 is the prerequisite
Applicble for all ages - students, parents, artists, educators, health care practitioners, and business professionals.
- Pre-requisite: Brain Gym 101 or another introductory class for licensure in Brain Gym®
Brain Works Naturally is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy as an approved provider of CEU credit hours for OT's, OTA's, PT's, PTA's & SLP's.
